Tear Staines: GuF's Campaign Comes To Nought

Well, well, well. Paul Staines aka Guido Fawkes aka Mr GuF has predictably enough bigged up the Charity Commission decision on the Smith Institute, during the process of which they threatened this bankrupt, persistent drink criminal, uninsured driver, curfewed tagster, and all-round bad-faith merchant with jail. But, also predictably, Unity has put the false Jedi GuF to the sword right here. Also finding him out for sharing a pertinent address with the shadowy Centre for Open Politics Limited.

Chris,

Always good to read "the alternative viewpoint".

Why don't you put your point across in the comments section on Guido's blog?

Problem is GuF deletes most of my comments on sight as he doesn't like being found out, named and shamed.

He can dish it out but he cannot take even a modicum of criticism.

Perhaps you know? Are Policy exchange under investigation also? With the likes of Dale and Boles as ex-inmates and blatant support for Boris and Cam and the same kind of strange relations with charity status too.

Chris,

My early comment was a deliberate wind-up. Sorry!

At least you can take it. Not enough bloggers can.

And the answer to my question about Policy Exchange is?

Search me - I've been too busy watching The Open this week.

For what it's worth, I don't think that political think tanks of any sort (or allied to any political party) should have a charitable status. Do you?
