Manchester Confidential: City Centre Blues, Reds and Yellows, Kathy Crotty for Councillor!

Manchester Confidential is a busy what's on and rantspace for Manchester's cosmopoles. Interesting story here about the recent parking hike controversy. I'd like to know the returns for the Tory and Lib Dem petitions on this. "Pathetic" would be my guess. Have blogged a little reprise of some of the City Centre runnings on the end of it.

UPDATE: We're hearing the size of the Lib Dem petition submitted was beyond pathetic, and that while the Tory one was better it cannot claim to be "hundreds" which imprecise term has a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 1900s. Not close.

Mmmm. And students?

No, haven't noticed any students. Just people that take too much notice of the Manchester evening news, political hacks, a few people that are absolutely obsessed with Neil Swannick and Pat Karney and a couple of our councillors.

Who wouldn't be obbssessed with Neil and Pat?

Quite true, Sir Richard, quite true

Who wouldn't be obsessed with the whole labour group? Though I admit some are more impressive than others, if we are going by the animal farm philosophy.

But which ones are going to break ranks and start walking on their hind legs and wearing clothes?

I'm surprised you linked to this article Chris, given that the entire piece was dripping wet with sarcasm... not a terribly good indictment of the state of the City Centre Labour campaign!

Iain, I sense a row coming on between you and LOL!!

Ha ha Iain. So dripping wet with sarcasm that your man Rob didn't even spot it! He had to have it spelled out for him by Gordo. How wet is that? Seems to me that Kathy and Pat are showing the GSOH required to be a useful politician in such a ward. Rob is not close. He scarcely seems to be able to understand anything ... not a good sign.

I am still waiting for his response on the numerical force of the pathetic "petition" that Rob "organised" and the pathetic "petition" that the Lib Dems "organised". They at least provided pictures showing just what a poor show it was!

Hah hah. Iain I've just noticed your use of the word "indictment". Always worth trying to avoid words you don't quite understand as what you have written - like Cameron's absent policy platform - is completely senseless! Or arguably the opposite of what you may have intended. Keep taking the tablets matey. Which, for the avoidance of doubt, is just a turn of phrase often used in response to senseless behaviour.
