Manchester Withington Selection: Affiliates
The Co-op Party nominated Councillor Nargis Khan and Naheed Arshad-Mather MBE. Dr Jane Evans, Jenny Lennox, and Lucy Powell were not eligible.
CWU backed Nargis Khan and Lucy Powell. USDAW backed Lucy Powell. Amicus' three branches including my own GPMU branch are yet to go public.
The Socialist Education Association ballot was won by a single vote by Lucy Powell.
More supporters' endorsements for any candidate are always welcome. Who will win most handsomely in Withington? Who will knock the grimace off the Lib Dem face the best?

UPDATE: This post replaces the earlier effort, the comments, and the apologies. More anon. Including that Student news.

Might I respectfully suggest that you remove all the non-endorsements from the endorsements post - thereby making it easier to follow.
Thanks for following the selection.
It has been a great service.
Miles: Yes, I will get round to removing all the non endorsements, as previously announced.
Chris
I know it was a big job but
you have missed the genuine testimonail from "Susannah" on the previous endorsement post.
I can verify she is a former Unison organiser in Manchester.
I'll give you her surname off line as she hasn't put it.
I don't think I have missed Susannah. I know her and I can vouch that she is real. I also copied and pasted her endorsement. Each one had to be done in turn after the post was live. Comments cannot be generated on a draft post. or if they can be I don't know how.
Jenny Lennox in winning team at Fallowfield quiz last night.
No other candidates present.
It's not in Withington - but it is a demonstration of commitment to Manchester Labour.
Not in Burnage last week though, which is in the constituency and is an important seat, demonstrating a lack of focus which
is not outweighed by quizzing.

Your just cross cos you lost the quiz.
Who out of Kaufman, Stringer, and Loyd has signed this session's early day motion in support of the trade union freedom bill?
Click on my name to find out. And get lobbying!
Well, obviously Curly will have signed this. He is a good Union man. Cyril or whatever his middle name will not have as he doesn't really sign that many. And is it possible that Lloydy has stopped signing since becoming Chair of the PLP?
Lloyd signed an EDM yesterday - on nurses pay.
He just hasn't signed. And he must know about it because he put forward the version that was doing the rounds in the last parliament.
Could it be that becasue McDonnell has put down this one Lloyd's sectarian pouting is outweighing his concern for the workers?
Constituents might ask him?
Tony didn't even vote against privatising the probation service. Does he spy a job in a Brown government?
You read it here first.
Quiz Answer: this is incoherent. Has Lloyd signed as you say in line one. Or not signed as you say in line two. And do you really think that an anonymous and buried question on some bloke's blog is the way to get to the bottom of this?
Is there some protocol which affects the Chair of the PLP when it comes to EDMs etc?
Surely Lloydy will be looking for a job in the McDonnell government?
Come on, whoever you are. Use your name. Ask lloydy what's what yourself. Don't use some blokes blog for off topic speculations.
While there is a lull in the selection campaign take a trip to a new left blog.
