Big Issue John Bird: Renounced as Mayoral Candidate
Tory bloggers have turned on the man that their leader Dave/id Cameron was so keen to have as the Tory candidate for the London Mayoralty. Adam McQueen's reposted 2002 article on the subject of JB's management style is called in evidence.
This is not a blow to John Bird who will just roll his sleeves up and get on with his winning Chim-Chimeny ways down the Old Kent Road. But it is another major stain on Cameron's Cuddly Nu Tory copybook. His judgement is pants. Big pants.

Sources close to the Front Bench of the Bullingdon Club today announced that a former 'Rock' Star Mr Peter Burns, a native scouser, is to be their candidate for Mayor of London.
Leader Dave Bullingdon said:
"Peter is from a Bullingdon No Go area in the North somewhere. But that doesn't mean he is in any sense backward or uncivilized. He has lived in London for quite a while now. He represents the new breed of Bully Boys."
He continued:
"This is a momentous moment for us Bully Boys. We have ventured forth across a new frontier of policy-less Bully-dom. Mr Peter Burns is the ideal candidate to show how we've changed. He's not black, but he is white. He's not a life long Bully, but he is deranged. And unlike Boris or Zak he's not the kind of bloke to run off with a man's wife."
Mr Burns added:
"You Spin Me Right Round Baby Right Round Like A Record Baby."
