Britain in the World: Blears and Benn Summit in Manchester Today

Good event. The World Keeps on Turning. Even two hours sleep after an election. Report and discussion starts tomorrow. Deputy Leadership contest was not mentioned. PICTURES: Chris Worrall, Oxfam, actually Sam Lacey/Friends of the Earth via Chris. Thanks both. Hoping to write up the meeting soon.

"Deputy Leadership contest was not mentioned."

That's quite a big room but you'd need one that size for an elephant that big.

The non-candidates were very courteous and praised one another beautifully. Committee Room 3 would have been fine. CR4 would have been a bit of a squeeze.

It looks like our Mr Benn is recounting the anglers tale of the size of the one that got away...
