Electoral Commission: Political Donations
Dizzy is beside himself with glee that Respect have only recorded £4636.28 as a donation with the Electoral Commission ... and had to give this back as it came from Dubai's Khansaheb Civil Engineering. It was less than the BNP's £6,000 anyway! How Dizzy laughed!
And of course Dizzy reckons that Respect and the BNP have in common their misogyny and homophobia. Now, I don't know how many Respect activists Dizzy actually knows? But I'd like to assure him that when it comes to misogyny, homophobia and indeed racism the BNP have more in common with certain Tory Boy Bloggers than ever with Respect activists.
Back to the numbers. Captain Sensible's Blah! Party meanwhile have received £ 35,350.00, part of a mighty total of £ 209,898.50. Most of which is in cash rather than the non-cash it's recorded as.
Usually at this point the Tory Blogoferia would begin crowing about how much Labour received. Sadly the main parties have been skipped by Dizzy this quarter. Whyever is that?

We'll have to wait three months to see how things work out.

Chris, I was gonna post about the Labour doing better because I thougth it was interesting actually, but then I thought I would just do the small parties instead.
As for Respect and BNP, the thing they have in common are that they're both collectivist parties, and whilst one only likes white people, Respect are made up largely of Islamists who hate women and gays, and Trotskyite that have become traitors to their own beleif in Western Enlightenment thinking.
I realise that as you're on the Left you won't acccept this, Respect are a pernicious bunch of bastards who turn a blond eye to some of the worst oppressive doctinrs and dogma all in their name of their anti-western positioning.

You'll find that I have posted about the perils of Respect and think they are wasting everyone's time electorally but they are not really filled up with the stereotypes you assert. They have fuck all paid up members really and few would fit the bill of hating women and gays - whereas Fawkes' average outre commentator let's that slip within seconds of starting tapping.
Respect's link with MAB does give them a serious problem. But the MAB people who are involved in Respect don't fit the Muslim Brotherhood model at all and there is a huge majority of secular, cultural muslims who don't either.
The imam at Didsbury mosque banned some homophobic people from his congregation.
Yes though, Respect have elements with issues.
I think the recovery of LP donations is interesting too. Some elements of bailing out timed out loans I'll be bound.
Obviously you'll have to follow your own advice about not getting into barnies with the likes of JH though where's the fun in that?
