EXCLUSIVE: Burgess Hill, Cheating Monopoly Race!

UPDATE: Their vote generator has been busted! Shame on them. You can Vote for Manchester HERE once per day.

Quote from an indignant Facebooker:

"In an hour they went from:
#21 Burgess Hill 2529 (12:58 2/5/07)
to:
#11 Burgess Hill 3404 (01:59 02/5/07)
That's almost a thousand votes in an hour and up 10 places...bloody cheats!

And I also found this in their facebook group:

OMG it kicks Ass! They are definitely cheating!

This is their campaign group link if you want to see for yourself:

Funny the way that although you've decided they're cheating, Hasbro doesn't share your opinion...

And that you're the only person to say so. One thing I'll say is although Burgess Hill is hardly a large or well known town it does have a strong community, and high population of younger people who are more interested in this sort of thing. I think it's really impressive that the town has managed to get so far.

Its been on the radio, in the newspaper and all over the internet too.

Burgess Hill has got behind this in a big way by emailing all community groups and asking them to encourage their mebers to vote - which they have done. Pity Manchester doesn't have enough pride in their city to get behind this and vote!

I live in Burgess Hill; I doubt this is cheating. In fact at least one of our local papers featured this towards the front and of course published a link; it is likely that this was a surge from respondants from that article.
