Nadine Dorries: Calls for Compulsory Chemical Castration for Any and All Child Sex Offenders

Nadine Dorries MP has been out on the terrace again. Caught the sun (or The Sun) I think. Under the title Dr Peter Saunders.. and chemical castration Nad states that all child sex offenders should be compulsorily chemically castrated. She makes no distinction between these offenders. These surely range from mild viewers to serial abusers, exploiters, rapists, and killers. Every case is serious. Some are more serious than others.

Nadine has been charmed by Dr Peter, the General Secretary of the Christian Medical Fellowship, into changing to this position. He has, she says, changed her mind before. Nadine Dorries MP is in thrall to what looks rather like a US-style Christian Right pressure group, headed by a charismatic. She is highly suggestible and tipped for promotion. Is that it?

Bob Piper recently posted this: "Nadine Dorries has the sort of name that reads like an anagram (Inane disorder seems appropriate) but it is in fact the name of a rather silly Conservative MP".

Yep. But are the British people ready for a Tory party driven by Christian fundies? Nadine Dorries is naive, implausible and patronised.

And vacuous, self-obsessed, and malicious.

She'd be perfect on the front bench.

Obviously a lad of 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 etc found guilty of having sex with a ladette of a similar age should be injected for the rest of his life with hormones to make him experience ED.

Or a man who doesn't understand that viewing an image of a 15 years and 11 months year old may be criminal, or younger subjects for that matter. Well he should get jabbed every week too whether the images rate level 1 or level 5.

And a judge or some other upstanding citizen who flashes on the Tube in a moment of madness should be found not guilty lest the judge gets his libido limited for ever.

Nadine Dorries is a bit silly.

Nad is certainly turning out to be one to watch, though not for what she might think the right reasons.

On the chemical castration debate, an important point is that while the offender may be rendered impotent, their sexuality is unaltered. They may still be able, and feel a need, to satisfy themselves by abusing victims in other ways.

On a technical point, while Nad doesn't have permalinks (because she's using some really, really crap blogging software) you can link to days of the week using her calendar. This post appeared on 13 June, the link for which is http://www.dorries.org.uk/Blog.aspx?Y=2007&M=Jun&d=13#13
