Maidstone and the Weald: Iain Dale Misses Cut?

The Conservative uber-blogger Iain Dale has made no secret of his parliamentary ambitions and threw his hat into the ring for Ann Widdecombe's coveted seat. The above was an OT comment earlier. Here's most of the LOL Maidstone archive. The sooner Iain is in parliament the better so do "buck up" you Tories, do.

Hmmm. I think your story falls down at the first hurdle. The Maidstone 'sift' hasn't actually taken place yet. If I don't get through, you will be the first to know...Or possibly not.

That's good news Iain. My story is that this off topic has been made, not that I could vouch for its correctness. In fact I sent out a number of feelers last evening along this lines of "can this be true?"

It's a prime seat and it's Tories so there are bound to be shenanigans.

Let's try again:

It's a prime seat and it's a political party so there are bound to be shenanigans.

Better. You are very welcome to comment on these conspiracy theories if you wish to.
