Iain Dale: Eating Humble Pie on Sun Whip Vendetta

Good to see Iain Dale admitting he was wrong. HERE. Katherine Bergen of the famous Whip column in the super soaraway Sun has a cracking exclusive about Iain's Little Chipmunk Hazel Blears. Iain has been man enough to admit his ongoing campaign of sly attacks and hypocritical hyper criticisms was quite wrong. He is eating great dollops of humble pie and promising to never do it again. He has turned his spite on The Mirror and Jacqui Smith instead.

The Whip story? As we reported on the eve of the Crewe and Nantwich by-election all sorts have made Burke's Peerage and Gentry. Prezza, Doddy, Sian Lloyd, Cilla, a used-car salesman called Bob Skinner.

Great ammunition you'd have thought for avid LOL reader Hazel to throw back in Francis Maude's face when - on last week's Question Time - he jeered about the Dunwoody entry in the now rather shabby Toff's Bible? But Hazey was strangely silent; like a chipmunk caught in the headlights.

Why is that? Because she herself is a listed Burke!

UPDATE 12:19: For some reason known only to himself Danny Finklestein has congratulated Dale on his apology for a post. Iain just enjoys slagging off women opponents and rivals. He should not be encouraged in that unworthy trait.

Wasn't expecting that - maybe the Conservatives can run an anti-toff campaign against her?

Well, they did put the eligible ladette it-girl Letitia "Loadsamoney" Cash up against Hazel in 2005. Perhaps they read the runes wrong for Salford "Taste of Honey" Central?

The truth is that most if not all government ministers are listed. This is also how Dunwoody found herself in there.

Hey Chris - where's this Dale apology? Has he now taken it down??

Chris, I don't visit your site much, but when I do you always seem to be commenting on what Iain Dale says. Is there something going on? Is it requited?

You need to get out more often anon.

Someone has to keep an eye on Dale's nonsense. But we do do other stuff as well. Only four of the 16 stories currently available even mention IDD at all. And three of them are the same story basically. So that's two in fourteen, one seventh.

Good to see Katherine giving your a credit in the Whip Chris. That'll make Dale blow a gasket.

Where does Iain Dale apologise? I can't see it.

Chris Paul said...

Is it not there? I was so sure he would apologise that I didn't even check he'd done one.

You are getting even more bizarre in your so-called "Dale-watch" mode. Why have you stopped stalking Guido? And when are we going to hear more about your Flying Lion "scoop"? Surely you've had enough time to check all the flight records by now?

I like it when you go into great detail about these hated LibDemologists of yours. So much more interesting - not!

As it goes I took a turn over to GuF's site 20 minutes before your contribution. Surely you cannot actually approve of Iain's vendettas?

You're torn aren't you? You like the Dale watching, but then again you don't think you ought to.

No, little man. But it does concern me that I can't resist looking at the tripe you write. I have discussed this with my analyst: she suggests that it's probably because of the soporific affect your blog has. She might be right - it certainly makes me yawn.

Oh, by the way, another good YouGov poll for David Cameron and the Conservative Party. The LibDems remain static so all your hard work is paying off. Keep it up!

Interesting that your Party - "Others" are up to 12% - is creeping up on the Labour Party who continue to plummet. Good job you don't support them!

really chris this is one of the worst blogs i have ever seen. this is my first visit, and i came after i read the sun piece. but it's a weird combination of illiterate infighting and blog wars and nothing about politics that anyone gives a toss about. oh how sad. xx gigi

Chris Paul said...

thanks gigi, I sooo believe what you say, I really do

Strewth Chris, from the tone of voice "gigi" is actually Dale himself. Must have really pissed him off getting a credit like that.
