Iain Dale's Diary: Cameron, Double-Edged Sword

The maverick David Davis' snatching of defeat from the jaws of victory must have been traumatic for his chief cheerleaders Conway and Dale. In a piece doubting the value of large scale party conferences here Iain opines thusly:

OK, momentous events sometimes happen at party conferences, (witness the ascent of David Cameron at the expense of David Cameron) but it is rarely to the advantage of the party concerned.

Sounds like Iain is getting increasingly desperate in his attempts to be "inside pissing out"

may be, may be ... basically he's going mainstream into dead tree press and related punditry and Dale's Diary has had less and less stuff, more of which has been twaddle

he may only be weeks away from denouncing the independent blogosphere as toast

GuF is reporting that SKY are prostituting themselves for votes in the Dale beauty contest
