Question Time: Harriet Harman Bests Shower of Trite

Ian Hislop! Don't you want to give the silly bastard a hard stare at least? An old-fashioned look? And Lynne Featherstone? And that Next man? And Oily Duncan? Poor old Harriet parachuted into a nest of liberalists and market idiots. But she won hands down from the five or ten minutes I saw. And the Extra.

Texters to the BBC on QT were down to around half the usual number. No surprise given such a lame crypto-libero-nonsenso-ridiculoso panel.

Good to hear Lynne Featherstone confirming the Chris Huhne "commitment" to using money saved on iD Cards - hurrah - on more police - again hurrah - whereas some of my commenters and Super Vince and all are saying it is carefully costed tax cuts we'll get and that Huhne never said that ...

Rather scary, earlier on Newsnight, to see Frank Luntz assemble a crew of 27 Mancs to vote Tory 4, Labour 3, and most of the rest Lib Dem. As Frank said, this was extraordinary. Though he did show them Clogg's feel good quackery last of all. Just before they voted. Frank Clutz more like.

Next thing you know they, those Lib Dems, u'll be forming the government. As Clogg promised. Even though, I'm told, 37% of their own supporters say it doesn't matter two flying flips what their policies are ... they'll never get to do them anyway. Whoops.

People! Just look at Rochdale, and Liverpool, and Stockport, and wherever else they get control. They mess up. They mess up. They mess up. Clear enough? It's Tories or Labour. And you really don't want Tories.

From what I saw the crowd didn't really agree with what she had to say, with the exemption of one labour activist in the audience. She was laughed at more than all the others put together...

It is pitty Hislop does not care about cocaine abuse in the tory party. That would be biting satire against the tories.

Laughed at? Our Harriet? Say it's not true. Twas a baying mob. And that was just the other four panellists.

Is someone going to beat me up now for repeating the Featherstone repeating of the Huhne meme about the 10,000 extra police with the ID card money?

Apparently he didn't mean that. Someone please tell Lynne.

As for the hokey cokey and the Cam / GOO tendancy ... I'm not sure the great British public even care that much. Though perhaps they should.

Cam looked caned when he came back from Turkey, and he'd caught the sun too. Back in the day it was the received wisdom that climbing alps with badly, negligently sunburnt people was a bad idea. As they were not even able to look after themselves.

So why would anyone want a burnt to a cinder caned yahboo at PM?

Harman made Duncan look idiotic and silly when she picked out the mortgage policy, and I think she mostly held her own, but it was hardly a victory.

HH was defending the indefensible. Duncan was weak and Hislop was agressive, but ill prepared. HH used technique and mendaciousness as opposed to fact to make her points. The Next bloke knew his onions and was no politician. Why should he be? Not one of them nailed the essentials behind the current banking crisis - loose and underpriced money and wild inflation in the money supply leading opportunistic bankers exploiting undepriced credit under a pathetic and an entirely flawed regulatory system (both here and in the US) suffering from excessive sticky political fingers. Your lot are a fiscal disaster and like all socialists down the ages all you achieve is the apocolyptic destruction of capital which impoverishes everyone and especially the less well off (I refuse to say 'poor'). This disaster may just reveal to the voter just what a deceitful shower you are. Your founding fathers must be spinning their graves at the lies and deceit you have practised over the last 11 years. The sooner we are shot of you the better as every day you stay there will be another giant step away from salvation. And I speak as someone who thinks the Tories are not actually any good, but marginally the least worst option.

Give up CP.

Week after week, Labour reps on Question Time and Any Questions get the bird.
THEY DON'T LIKE YOU CHRIS. THEY DON'T LIKE BROWN AND THEY DON'T LIKE THE LABOUR PARTY.
Let it go. With any luck you'll be back in 10 -15 years.

Thanks all, especially anon and anon who go on and on. HH was set up with four antis. Not right. I didn't see the whole programme. But I am rather amused by the reaction of Dale listing this rather than say an ongoing shaming of Sir Cyril Smith in particular and Rochdale Lib Dems in general.
