Con-Watch: Baroness Neville-Jones Loses the Plot?

"We will ban Hizb_ut-Tahrir" she says "Yada yada", yet the Conservative candidate and team in May's Local Government elections in Whalley Range Ward, which begins at the end my street, were very much in cahoots with Hizb_ut-Tahrir.

My MP Tony Lloyd raised this jaw-dropping matter with Dave Cameron. 'Twas Nanny Spelman who replied. She asked for further information. This has been provided. Many weeks ago now.

Conservatives will ban Hizb_ut-Tahrir one day perhaps. But in the meantime they will shamelessly use their shock troops, their mendacious literature, their communalist attitudes, their hot-headed swagger and cheap gimmicks ... to press for a Conservative Vote in my area.

Whatever we may think about HuT and their right to exist here or not it must be said that the combination of a hot-headed Conservative candidate, a laughing stock of a plane spotting turn coat Conservative councillor dogging the 2008 campaign, and revolutionary Hizb_ut-Tahrir cells is toxic.

And that silence on this from the general direction of CCHQ is not very promising when set against still more of their empty rhetoric. Email address is at the head of the blog should anyone be interested in further documents, contacts and research.
