BBC Radio Five: Horny Dilemmas, Keep It Real

BBC Radio Five is my radio of choice much of the time. Kids and partner will agitate for Radio 1 or Cheese FM but if I have a choice it's often Five Live with an occasional dabble for TMS or DID on Four.

Yesterday on Drive Peter Allen introduced an item on dilemmas. His first example was of a group of survivors in a sinking life boat who knew that one of their number would soon die but leaving them aboard will sink the lot of them. I don't think that one is at all hard. Do you?

What would you count as a real dilemma, political or otherwise, that really needs one of those hard choices we speak of. Not just whether to tie Public Services to decades of debt. A real hard choice. The bull is charging. Dart left (above) or dart right? Answers in comments please.

Is now the time for a bitter political joke about the last 25 years having proven that "running to the right" seems to work pretty damn well? :)

If there is a time for it. Should have flipped the picture perhaps ... but hey ho. If Akehurst uses a Matador in a mess to prove a lurch to the left is doomed he will be rightly derided.
