Phil Woolas MP: Quentin Davies MP is the Most Momentous Defection Since 1945

Iain Dale has emptied his head into his blog on the sad occasion of the defection of a Tory MP to Labour. Rationale is the Emperor's complete and utter lack of new clothes.

He'll never be Northern Ireland Secretary now - he's a member of the Labour Party!

Yep, but I've corrected his name anyway. Haven't we had a Liberal renegade in the job for a while?

Phil Woolas is obviously a complete prat. This guy is a complete nonentity and anyone who thinks Tories joining lab is good news wants their head testing....

I've written about Quentin's political record on my blog...

I've booked in to have my head tested.

It's a minor thing Susan. What he has said about Cameron is very useful and timely.

Alan Duncan MP reeled off half a dozen who had been this way.

It'll piss people off wheerver he is given a safe seat. he has said he isn't going to be standing for Labour in Grantham and he doesn't believe in the Lords. Sedgefield?

Sticking him into Sedgefield would be a rather good wheeze for Gordon ... Tony would be naused.
