Writing to a Prisoner: Gambling on a Favour

It is not an everyday occurrence for me to write to prisoners. I am no Lord Longford. Developing a similar head of hair perhaps. But writing to one convicted of a sexual crime is not my norm.

This is not to tell this chap (on a couple or three years) the good news that sentences for certain child porn viewers could be revised downward (BBC Video Report) if a Mr Gamble's advice is heeded, or to report an immediate backlash. It is to ask a favour.

Does anyone out there regularly write to prisoners? Any tricks of the trade to report? This letter is in the post already. But I'm expecting a return, and probably an expectation of a continuing correspondence.

See your little friend is on Adam Boulton`s Sunday Programme what a pity I shall miss it, will be in Antibes. I do enjoy a good laugh, especially when she clicks her start button. There`s no pause for breath, out it all comes one great torrent of balderdash. Ms Blears really needs to be sent back to the manufacturers for re-programming, i.e. a pause, listen and reply button. ( reply preferably to be in the Queens English!). Iain Dales likening of her to a chipmonk is most appropriate.
On reflection she would make a very good replacement for Prezza, in entertainment value alone.
Incidentally Chris your Blog site looks quite professional but a bit "Kinnockioish" i.e. Long winded and full of empty rhetoric !
Study Iain`s site a bit more you will learn a lot, paticularly identifying fact from fiction. Au Revoir for now.

Thanks True Blue, see you soon

Hilarious that True Blue - who doesn't seem to have a blog of their own - should think Iain Dale capable or exemplary in the fact from fiction department. Give me a break.

Chris
I've visted prisoners more than written but as I recall they are so bored conversation/letters about pretty much anything will be well received.
Anything that breaks the monotony.
