Poll: Speaker Martin Retires, Effective From Which Date or Event?

Immediately I heard the news that Speaker Martin is to "resign this afternoon" - I think that'll be a "retirement" actually - I assumed that was an announcement of intent - along the lines that Sir Stuart Bell and others were urging for yesterday - and wondered what the effective date would be. Iain Dale appeared to believe in an instant exit, only now adding a rueful footnote stating the bleeding obvious.

When do you think Martin will actually go? Not when he should, when he actually will do so:

The Speaker Michael Martin is set to announce his future resignation or more likely retirement later today. Will this be effective from:
Today
Tomorrow
Next month
When expenses mess sorted
When successor elected/start of new session
End of Calendar year 2009
As soon as General Election called
Day after General Election
Some other date or event
labour of love

You can even copy and paste this code into your site (must remember how to stick it in a little window):

Whooops - bit drunk and spaced out. Thought you'd been hit by the same thing that's hit Dizzy recently. All bets are off.

It's official Dale's article in the Daily MAil libelled Tom Watson - cannot say that he wasn't warned about his behaviour. I presume Cameron will remove him from the Tory candidates list???
