I see this Deputy contest as a vote of confidence in Hazel as unelected Chair of the Party. Unless she happens to win. In which case it's just another fix.
Now now now. It won't be a fix. And Hazel has a humungous amount of ground to make up on bookies favourites Benn, Cruddas and Hain. I'm still expecting further changes to the runners and riders and I know that Hazel will put her heart and soul into this just as she does into being a good constituency MP and a loyal-to-a-fault minister.
I'll say this for her:
Hazel Blears is a Class Act. But Nuts in May.
Let's hope she is not full of Meacherite trickery and doesn't steal part of this quote like a SWET impressario faced with a panning.
