Michael Meacher: What a Cheeky Old Comrade He Is

Mr Meacher has quoted this blog on his Facebook home - which has less adherents in the whole country than he needs votes from the PLP - without attribution and severely out of context. He cherry picks the words "class act" from THIS post where they were followed directly by:

But essentially Meacher has the same platform as John McDonnell without quite the same degree of integrity and judgement, something which Meacher himself salutes before spinning yarns about parliamentary nominations in the bag.

Backing Blair on Iraq, conspiricising on 9-11, owning millions of pounds of residential buy-to-let do not a wise leader or an exemplary socialist make. I look forward to Alex Hilton interviewing John McDonnell, and who knows another candidate who is from the centre left, yet distinctive from the left candidate, and unimpeachable.

A Class Act indeed. He has also strenuously resisted posting a link to THIS POST for some reason. And they say Gordon is the old Tanky?

TANKY TEST: Are you reading? If so please check your spelling of camapign@michaelmeacher.info which looks faulty.

Note that some of the people who've joined the group are Blairites! They're his keenest backers. I'll let you work out why.

The John4Leader group is now on 329 members and counting - that's far more than any other leadership/deputy leadership group. Get joining, Chris!

Neither of them has anything to offer the Valleys.

Think you might find that McDonnell has more for the Valleys than Meacher who is hoping to retire with Valets given his millions.

Hi Owen

No lesson for me today? I must be improving. My mother gave me the middle name Joseph and was determined that I could be a carpenter like the Nazarene, or as you say a joiner.

That is what Ian McCartney's career teacher told him to be. And, roll of drums, he went off and joined the Labour Party. Boom tish.

Not much of a joiner myself, possibly the shuttering sort that provides rough and ready support as needed.

Best wishes

"Joe"

Why am I not surprised Meacher didn't publish your post? If I say 20 Hail Marys do you think he will pack it in?

Just had to post again as logged in to his Facebook........it is utterly pathetic. Sorry, but it is.

I've joined it. It's grand. It shows what we'd be getting. Spelling mistake on key email and all.

PS Yet another left footer in the Labour Left I see ... 20 Hail Marys will get you a plenary indulgence (but only one mortal sin per day mind) but Michael Meacher has a heart of stone and will be unmoved.

Do you think he might be counting PLP members seen grinning and pointing at him as supporters?
It is a great shame he is doing this. Not the greatest idea he ever had.

I know Owen'll possibly start frothing but some form of primary would've seen him off.
