Ealing Southall: Tom Watson "Call Tops ALL"

What can have got Tom Watson this excited and yet taciturn?

Has the Lib Dem defected to Labour? And/or the Tory? Do we now have three candidates running in one by-election?

It has to be something pretty serious.

Chris, I see your fav MP (John Leech) was in Southall today taking part to a LD stunt to underline Sharma's lack of attendance in council meetings (he apparently missed more than half of council meetings in the last year)

Hee hee, are you talking about Sharma or Leech there? Leech is of course still a Cllr and on one or two committees. Hi srecord hasn't been that great and if he does make a full Council meeting it means he's missed PMQs etc.

He is yet to do any real campaigning work - recorded on his web or in an EDM - for his own ward constituents in Chorlton Park ward. It isn't evn in the list of wards he represents.

He just uses his money as part of his funds. Possibly even to fund that Campaign Organiser job.

Sharma apparently missed lots of meetings...and Leech was there to underline it.

From your comment it doesn't look as he can lecture anyone on council attendance!

Watson has sense of humour failure. I left an iamginary scenario for his readers of what was in the phone call, written a little tongue in cheek, and the poor dear couldn't handle it. I've resubmitted a similar version from memory on Iain Dale. Is there any point in posting Labour blogs? You lot always delete anything which teases. How can you have politics without humour? I should ask Gordon Brown, I suppose.

Mmmm. Not one for censoring comments myself Tapestry. The "poor dear" as you call him, though there are no signs of malnourishment there, operates a policy of moderating comments.

However his blog software - which is a bit flakey - shows authors their comments before they are moderated. this may give the impression that they have been removed. When they've never been up.

Dizzy moderates his little bollocks off. IDD and GuF too on occasion with both well capable of selective deletion of "enemy" wit and fact.

Still, Tapestry, enough already. That's 4 paragraphs you've had from me gratis. Private Eye would pay £50 for the same. So I'll st...
