Alexander the Grating: PLP Chair "I Know Nothing"

When I was collecting my "tread lightly" tube at B&Q yesterday I bumped into my MP Tony Lloyd with his family. After an exchange of witty pleasantries I asked him to name names on the Tory-sponsored Alexander the grating anecdote reported by Pendennis in the Observer. That is that after PMQs Tories were egged on by an unnamed Labourite, to keep them hammering the currently unpopular "election guru":

"Great attack by David Cameron. Make sure you keep up the pressure on that little git Alexander. We can't stand him."

Lloydy said he'd just read his copy but not noticed the story. He headed off briskly towards the fertilizer while I sought illumination elsewhere.
