Luke Akehurst: Has He Given Up Blogging?

Since that is his old mate Peter Watt walked the plank?. Perhaps Luke has been shining up his CV and associated halo as a replacement?

We could do far worse than Luke for replacement GS, but I doubt he'd be able to keep himself in claret and foi gras on a party salary......

Freedom of Information gras? Is that a new type??

Seriously, Luke could probably keep his hand in with arms dealer PR and the like, very likely keep his council seat too. Perhaps he could even get some arms dealers to switch sides and stop backing the Tories?

Recent events must have shaken even Luke's faith in the party establishment!

But he's resilient and will be back :-)

As for the General Secretary we need an old, hard hand - someone who doesn't need another job, doesn't want to seat in the Commons or the Lords.

Blair? Tone I mean not Ian, he's still got a job I think.

No, I haven't given up blogging. I've been with my solicitors all morning drawing up a statement declaring myself totally innocent of any wrongdoing in connection with the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.

What? They're helping you cover things up? Not the ones in the basement at 18 Doughty Street? Oh dear, too late, Guido has your signed confession.
