Crewe and Nantwich: Labour Select Tamsin Dunwoody

Andrea posted the story last night at Labour Home. Watch this space for campaign details. Here's a Times piece on the family from 2004.

By the look of it variously aliased Grant 1234 Shapps and his sock puppets have been out in force at the local paper's website. Transparent and ugly tactics from the horrid nasties.

I would seriously suggest that that newspaper monitors and immediately publishes any strange patterns in IP Addresses and Pseudonyms. And also that Wikipedia are zapped an image of Moyra Tamsin immediately.

CAPTION: It was tremendously generous of Tamsin's grandad Morgan Philips to lend the family slogan to the party and Clem Attlee in particular. Tory ne'er-do-wells will find it anyway ...

I was in Nantwich yesterday a Derbyshire Labour County Councillor and her Labour-activist husband. But we weren't politicking, we were supporting Sheffield FC (whose ground is in Dronfield) in a play off final against Nantwich Town. They won 4-1 on penalties when it was a 2-2 draw after extra-time and they now move up to the Unibond Premier League. I can only hope that our candidate in the By-election is a chip off the old block and wins, at least, on penalties.

above, add "with" in the first line after "yesterday".

I've just watched Brown being interviewed by Marr on Sunday morning.

It looked to me that the prime minister was having some sort of nervous breakdown so much so that it became painful to watch.

There is a desperation about him clinging on to the repetition of dead pat cliches. He has become so brainwashed by a lifetime in parliament that he believes the worthy lexicon he deploys will protect him from threat. It won't. And you can see even he realises half way through the sentence that it really will not do.

He just isn't good enough. He must realise that.

When are you Mr Paul going to call time on this appalling contemporary version of a Victorian peep show.

The way things are going the Conservative Party is heading for a landslide victory.

Fortunately gutless anon 22:51 you are not calling this right. Cam has no policies. Just flim flam.

And clearly I have no great leverage on the leadership of the party until I get a vote or three in the next contest.

I honestly think this situation can and will be turned round.

The Tory crowing is not going to help the blkue cause if there are no policies to go with it. And if/when policies are rolled out they will be inadequate - surely you can see that?

Your sort of missing the point.

It is noted that the policies schtick has been rolled out to attack the Tories. But as Cammers clearly realised in his rebranding and clensing of the party there wasn't much point in having any unless people trusted you. That's first base.

Brown has no doubt got lots of policies but I'm not interested because he's a near nutter a view shared by rather a lot of people now.

I read somewhere that Brown watched the local election results on his own. That was Ben Brogan.

Do you need to know much more. The poor bastard is such a shrivelled useless loner.

Anon 02:51 - it is no wonder that you stay anonymous. You have no arguments, just a personal attack based on no evidence.

Cam is a muppet. No policies he'll own up to. Just a history of Eton, flim flam, Black Wednesday, horrific right wing manifesto/campaign for Howard, lying to elements of his own party to get the leadership job, and bringing things back down to earth allowing the most monstrous tactics on the ground.

Like a candidate in the neighbouring ward to me standing as a representative of a the families from a particular valley in the Punjab and allowing Hizb_ut-Tahrir literature to be distributed in the same breath as Tory twaddle about recycling.

You've said your piece over and over and over again without the common decency or bottle to even identify yourself.

Unless you say something else I'll be deleting such vacuous ad hominem comments in future. Even though they show up Tories for what you are:

No balls, no honesty, just plain old horrid nasty.

The first quote is an ad hominem attack on a politician.

The second quote is an intelligent, articulate and well-argued criticism of a politician.

Discuss.
