Dr Rupa Huq: "Rebels Without a Clue", Tribune

Dr Rupa Huq has entered the fiery furnace and tackled the fearsome lions that are the Tribune-ites with an opinion piece in their conference edition, previewed here. I can't say I agree that Blair should have been given the chance to go at a time of his own choosing. Though it may be that the time he had chosen for him was simultaneously both TOO LATE and TOO EARLY!

Perhaps I should dust off the speech I never got to make at Conference in 2005 calling for nomination forms to be issued routinely to MPs? This would have led to forms being issued ahead of the 2006 conference, not summary execution of the Blair. But our resolution was ruled out of order and disguised by the CAC, our delegate was man marked out of the game, and a marker on the current "nomination papers" debacle was not put down.

You can't go changing your leader with the frequency that some change their underpants.
By the way, what happened to that thing I tagged you with? Parbury and E8 Voice never responded either. Will woe betide me for breaking the chain letter thing?

Hopefully our MPs are bright enough to work out how to change the leader if that is what they want without having to go through the process of being given a nominations paper. It should never be an easy process when the Party is in power or whoever the Leader is.

I find it very telling that the current rebels waited until the deadline for submitting nominations for current conference was passed - before asking for nomination papers. The talk about the nominations process is really a cover for something else. One point that GB should remember, however, it that when facing trouble a leader tends to turn his guns on the enemy rather than his own side.

Sorry about the chain letter Roops. Feeling guilty. Will get onto it ... sometime.

Agree on the leadership and TBNGU re where the guns should be levelled.

Following Huhne's double spending of some of their saved money I think I heard another of the Lib Dem muppets spending some more of it.
