Interruption of Service: What Will Leech Do Post Office?

Readers may be interested to read about the first instance last week on which John Leech MP was absent from a debate on a matter about which he is supposed to care deepy. It was in fact a Liberal Democrat sponsored Opposition Day debate. He still didn't make it. Once again Gerald Kaufman gave Leech and the useless Lib Dems in general a good old fashioned parliamentary monstering.

The second occasion, just two days later, was of course blogged yesterday.

Vintage Gerald! Leech is just no good as a Manchester MP and the sooner we are rid of him the better.

Thanks anonymous 19:38. There is every chance that Leech, Rowen, Stunnell and Hunter will all be toast. Sadly the latter two most likely falling to Tories. But we cannot have everything.

Stunnell's big idea at the moment is execrable or there or there abouts. Will blog about that if I get a moment. Hunter is just crap.

I find it strange that you are not doing everything you can to prevent the Tories winning Hazel Grove and Cheadle, especially as you have been revealed as contributing to a Lib Dem website purpoting to be a Lib Dem supporter.

Can't be everywhere WR and nor do I see what I could personally do to stop Hunter losing. He will. He was lucky to inherit in the first place. A weak candidate and an appallingly bad performance in post.

The best thing Labour can do I suppose is to try to win some votes off the Tories AND try to persuade virtually all those lending their vote to the Lib Dems that Hunter will lose and that their only chance of keeping the Tories out is a massive but massive swing to Labour.

That may not do the trick this time. But it will at least provide a platform for the time after.

How can we stop Stunnell struggling at least a bit. He too is weak. He might hang on but I don't know. Labour have a very strong candidate indeed. But leap frogging the Tories and going into first from third will be hard.

Even with the Tories parachutist being way way out of his area.

What would you suggest? Should I start pretending Hunter is actually quite good. Or that Stunnell's bog roll campaign is anything more than a councillor promoted above his station?

PS Have I really purported to be a Lib Dem? Even theatrically or satirically? Or are you telling desperate porkies, again?
