Erith and Thamesmead Selection: Chance Encounter Spills Beans?
On Friday night I went to the University of Manchester Athletic Union awards dinner and was seated next to a contemporary from University, from many many moons ago. I've only seen them a handful of times since our paths diverged 25 years or so ago. Great to catch up. Not a Labour Party member or even a supporter. But wouldn't it be so very amazing if the half dozen insider stories they had picked up from "someone down the pub" Bexley way actually checked out in all their gory detail? More later today, or tomorrow perhaps. Fact checking is of course a priority for responsible bloggers.

Soon come! Also got one regarding a sheepish Mr Benn who has found himself endorsing someone he really shouldn't have ... with some very creative writing on behalf of the endorsee. Will she live it down for her next selection I wonder? That one certainly wasn't "Bexley man down a pub" - that was the candidate's own propaganda.
