John McDonnell: Relaxed and Jolly on Channel 4

To be blunt as I was yesterday John McDonnell is a serious fellow, and no barrel of laughs. But whether he has been reading the LOL feedback or taking a lead from gurning Gordie he seemed relaxed, ebullient, and clearly the beneficiary of the lefties "Oggle" of Friday afternoon.

His greatest hits, with nary a smile, grin or laugh, are here and we'll bring you the Channel 4 News clip with Krishnan Guru-Murthy if/when it reaches the web. Make it snappy Owen, it's good stuff.

UPDATE: The BBC Interview with John is available online HERE. Today, some 24 hours on he was visibly more relaxed and happy.

Manchester MP Graham Stringer has agreed to nominate a left candidate.
Read it here.

Mmmm. I see you used "left" in your headline. Which is more accurate than left alone! Let's hope he transfers.

It places Graham to the left of Tony Lloyd though.
Can't you Whalley Range lefties get Tony to nominate someone!?

I'll give Tony a ring tomorrow. I'm no longer a WR lefty sadly. But he is still my MP. But how do you know how Lloydy's planning to vote? The idea that GS is to left of TL is rather hard to support btw.

Link to McDonnell interview now up. Click pic or linkHERE.

Tony has said publicly - including at a meeting of Manchester Central CLP trades unionists - that he is backing Brown.
Graham would appear to be moving leftwards while Tony is going the other way.
They both opposed Trident.
