Charlestown, Charlestown: Tories Have Lost the Plot

1. Labour (1) 1373
2. BNP (-) 628
3. Lib Dems (3) 239
4. Tories (2) 188
5. Greens (4) 81

The Tories did not put out any general print or conduct any general campaign or 'phone work. They simply sent letters to and called up their known supporters. The Greens didn't even do that.

Tories lost around 250 votes since May. Probably to the BNP. The Lib Dems are on around the same figure. Slightly dented perhaps. I've not checked. But as with Higher Blackley it looks as if around 400 non voters were motivated to join in. Whether on the general pavement issues or the dog whistle of immigration.

Meanwhile: This morning Nick Griffin was given an hour of "soft ride" on Radio 5 Live. He spoke mostly cack. Plausible and unanswered cack.
