John Leech MP: Further Useless Parliamentary Efforts

John Leech MP was an embarrassment to the people of Manchester Withington constituency when one week ago he had the opportunity to set the tone for Prime Minister's Questions but instead ineptly asked an inept question about an inept strategy he's taken almost three years to come up with.

Viz: Turn the upcoming public vote on the Greening of Manchester Transportation into a Vote for "Don't Know".

This week in a debate on the related area of Air Transport, in which area of Liberal Democrat endeavour he shares the portfolio with that other doomed North West Lib Dem dummy Mark Hunter MP, the level of esteem in which he is held by the house became very very clear indeed. Twice our man in Westminster asked speakers to "give way" - not bothering with speakers from his own party as they've given up on him - and twice he was told to butt out and sit down.

Well done to Tom Harris MP and Graham Stringer MP for keeping the hospital hoaxing, transport referendum muddying, McDonalds supporting, umm err umm merchant out of the debate entirely. There is no need to go to the URLs. Mr Leech's full speeches are included in the above short sharp snap.

But what is the root of Mr Leech's misery and piss poor performance?

Earlier this week I can be told some insider information, from someone that can only be described as a well wisher, that I think I can share in the spirit of positive futures for one and all and hands reached across partisan politics. As demonstrated so well by Cam and Gord in today's love in.

1. NOW HE IS ONE Mr Leech DOES NOT WANT TO BE AN MP;
2. Mr Leech WOULD RATHER BE BACK ON THE COUNCIL in proper lifelong opposition, for which he is at least very slightly slightly suited;
3. Mr Leech MISSES HIS MUM and is embarrassed to have failed to even deliver on a promise to finally move back into the constituency;
4. Mr Leech knows that his former Council Ward, now known as Chorlton Park, is going to HELL IN A HANDCART even faster than it was under his stewardship;
5. Mr Leech knows he STILL DOESN'T FILL HIS SUIT, except for in his FAT AND UNFIT muddle regions;
6. Mr Leech is FRIGHTENED OF BEING SHOWN UP and will not debate issues with non-MPs lest they outshine him;
7. Mr Leech knows that without the slightest doubt HE IS A MACCIE D CLOWN.

Mr Leech comes back to Manchester on Westminster days at any excuse. Back to propose that a Tree Preservation Order be lifted - the unanimous view of the parties and officers anyway and that a couple of lean to's be correctly built (ditto).

He comes back to promote homophobia ("Homophobia is Gay") and to blame students not being quiet as church mice for their peers getting attacked and raped.

And of course he comes back to stuff forests of paper through people's doors and try to save his seat. Even though it is making him desperately unhappy and he wants out. In essence he campaigns like a councillor because he stills desperately wants to be one. That's his level and he wants it back. Sad but true.

ADVERTISEMENT: the next chance to NOT HEAR John Leech in a debate, in Manchester this time rather than in Westminster, will be tomorrow night, Thursday 13th November, at Parrs Wood School, from 7:15pm.

Where useless Lib Dem Leech will NOT be on the panel, NOT be making a speech, NOT be explaining his fudging, NOT be showing leadership or clarity. And finally we must hope NOT be serving of a further term in parliament.

Listen twat. I'm going to leave that comment up - obviously - and answer it. By your standards it is miraculously on topic.

I had decided to do that when I read the first twatty para. Not your facile "bet you don't print this" baiting.

"Homophobia is Gay" is a lift - largely uncredited by the Lib Dems from an off the cuff remark by a rock musician. Possibly a gay one. Or not. He's Frank Iero (eye-year-oh) and married. And he says lots of daft things. He is a rhythm guitarist which is only one up from a drummer in the pecking order.

Its unsuitability for the stated purpose is demonstrated by the fact that many LGBT people find it offensive. Probably too many for it to be acceptable in my (irrelevant) view. At the event referred to, when instead of being in the House both Nick Clegg and John Leech were gallivanting in a students union, one of those present took them to task over the campaign. Clegg - who is not as far as we know gay etc (vide GQ) - patronised the gay man in terms that reflected his own idiocy on the issue.

He didn't say: "you oughta get out more" which might have raised a laugh. Ho ho. But obnoxious. He actually said:

"You really should lighten up".

At the same meeting Leech was rounded on for his absolutely ridiculous "it's your own fault really" nonsense about students.

If they all went round whispering and tiptoeing rapists would perhaps have to get bigger knives to keep their victims quiet? Or lurk elsewhere. But what Leech said and his defence of it was and is absurd. Your defence of it too is absurd. How very dare you put the blame on a community going about their business for violent criminal activity against them?

At least John Leech has the courage to sign his own gaffes off with his name. Why won't you?? Because by your own confession you are frightened of the consequences of taking responsibility for your own thoughts, words and deeds.

This victim-blaming is like Cyril Smith blaming asbestos workers for their own exposure and death. Twat!

John Leech's behaviour when a close associate was accused of a sexual assault was also subject of complaints and criticism. Some of which I have heard and/or seen myself. I might even be able to lay my hands on some xeroxs.

This was a case - NOT involving Leech in any way - which did not in fact progress for reasons I cannot fathom, there was apparently no arrest, GMP claimed to media that no statement or interview taken from alleged perp, though there was reportedly a meeting between an investigating officer that man and a friend of his, yet months of interviews of the alleged victim, SOCO collecting DNA from the alleged crime scene, violent threats against the alleged victim and more.

But that's another story. And may never be properly told. Like dirty old Cyril and the lamentable happenings alleged to have taken place in Rochdale at Cambridge House. We'll have to wait and see won't we?

But meanwhile "Homophobia is Gay" is not a universally welcomed campaign. And Leech's sssssh-and-students-won't-be-raped remarks just beggar belief.

Foolish at the very least.

Interestingly, perhaps due to homophobia, his most famous wildeism is not included in a list of his sayings here:

"This is a band that will save your life."

"I would date Gerard." (front man of MCR)

"I can't imagine any other bands having better kids than ours, and if they do at least I know our kids can beat up their kids."

"I'm totally f-in' bummed about the 'Ghost of You' leak. If you see a site with a link to the video, please don't watch it. Don't send it out. Don't look at screencaps. It's NOT FINISHED YET!"

"If I revealed my secret identity, the world would go to shit."

Camera Man: "Can't handle with that." Frank: "Hmmm, you need to a open mind my friend."

"Oh, one time we got held hostage!”

"We've mutilated, killed and disemboweled rock 'n' roll clichés!”

"My biggest addictions have been chocolate cake, mashed potatoes, and butter sandwiches.”

"I burn everything and call it Cajun.”

"Really I don't know anything other than Jersey. I like the dirtiness of it. Now I'm getting to see the world, and it's great, but it's not better than Jersey"

Camera man: "Did you read the new Ellen Degeneres book?"
Frank: "Yeah."
Camera man: "What did you think?"
Frank: "It made me a fucking lesbian!"

So they you go.

"His" meaning Iero's, sorry mate. These are not comments from Clegg, Leech, Leech's accused mate, or Sir Cyril Smith.

Wrong again! And not an argument in sight. And blogging at 02:34 am. Just after the offie at Portwood Tesco had to throw out one of your mates for racist and homophobic drunken splutterings. "Boys will be boys" said the MEP his employer. Can you not sleep EOHC? Have you forgotten your own name. Or are you trolls working shifts now?

I'm bored with Cyril Smith. Until you blogged him I thought he was a long dead fat bloke from Rochdale.

Did 6 months in their asbestos factory in Trafford Park. Apparently not as bad 'cos we used the grey asbestos not the blue stuff at Rochdale. That's what they said. So it won't be the Silk Cut that kills me then.

Great stuff on Leech. Out of his depth but takes our money. Like the McD clown....

I'm voting YES or is it a NO in the congestion charges referendum - not had my Lib-Dem leaflet telling me what to do.

Yes, Cyril was mentally dead and buried until that twit Hennigan disinterred him for a birthday celebration. Which obviously is bringing all hell down on the whole shower of Lib Dem trite.

Don't think you'll get a Lib Dem leaflet telling you how to vote on this. Apparently the correct vote according to the MP is :

Don't even know whether I don't know or not.

On the facile questions from EHC:

1. LGBT people object to the stupid Lib Dem adoption of a bon mot from a rock musician that was scarcely worth its 15 minutes of fame.

2. Rights have to be balanced. Expecting young people to make no noise rather than demanding that fucking rapists to stop preying on them and that protection is improved is an absolutely ridiculous suggestion. We could all drive at 5 mph making fatal collisions less likely. And we could all live in the stone age - well at least the 1% that could subsist on this land.

The member for Manchester Withington is a useless unwitting absurdist. Which might be useful characteristics for a busker expecting pity laughs and coins but NFG for a supposed MP.

Don't you think?

the only thing he campaigns for is his own place in parliament and his own cronies' places in the Town Hall. That's no way to carry on and he realises it.

A deep existential crisis seems to be engulfing him. Hopefully he'll find happiness doing something else. Being an MP is making him even more miserable than being a Councillor did.

1. No, you twat. LGBT people find it offensive. And incidentally it was nicked from a moderately silly rock musician. I'm pretty relaxed about every one of the Lib Dems campaigns, some of which are reasonable and well directed. this one is reasonable and well directed but LGBT people find the name offensive and I've pointed that out.

2. You are completely wrong on this one. As is Leech. Blaming students not whispering for their being attacked is foolish in the extreme in anyone's language. It is also totally unrealistic and as usual is Leech fudging what is a simple matter. Rapists are violent criminals. Far to many of them get away with their attacks and favoured tactics of defences are to blame the victims in some way.

This really is indefensible. Twat.

Now go away.

Chronic muddled nonsense.

The "Homophobia is Gay" tag was and is weak. Members of the LGBT community objected to it. You suggest only a few. Where are your figures from? tell us on your own blog, there's a love.

Obviously ASB is er, anti social, and should be reduced. That is entirely separate from John Leech and either his No Means Yes meme or his utter crap connecting a bit of noise connected with people leading their daily lives - without being AS most of the time - and some of them getting raped by twisted violent criminals who very often get away with their actions.

very often blaming the victims.

On both matters you entitled to your opinion but are wrong. On both matters you have gone into a death spiral.

On both matters you have delighted us enough.

Every drop of your twaddle will be removed from comments at this site.

This may take some time. But it will happen. It will be archived as it is deleted from view.

Anything new will be removed on sight. Even if it is On Topic and/or reasonable.

Start your own blog. Attack me from that. I would welcome it. It would locate you and give you the opportunity to show us all what a blooming genius you are.

If you're not an immature, humourless, childish, repetitive, anal, anti-social twat get a blog and start proving it to the world.
