GCSE Results: Will Myra and Her Friends Do Well?
Just ferried daughter Myra to school for some kind of photo call ahead of the general opening of results at 10 am. With cheery dad banter: Will they have two groups of students? "And these students have done brilliantly!" ;) flash :) blick ;) flash, "Whereas these wretches have got straight Es" :( :( :(. How she laughed!

Good luck to the lassy Chris. Keep us informed.
Or alternatively don't really - sure there's some kind of confidentiality clause in the whole thing. But, seriously, I hope she gets what she needs to do what she wants.
Cheers Dick. She has an unconditional offer for the next stage. Still not back though ...
There is a family friend who needs to get 7 A*s (or perhaps 7 As, am I exaggerating like a libdemologist here? I think it's A*s) to go to a certain state sixth form college, which shall not be named at this point.
The amazing thing is the complete coincidence of how well that SFC go on to do in A Levels. Almost like they were a selective school with some kind of mission to "look good" or some such tosh ...
Boy oh boy do league tables suck ...
All is very well indeed.
Hurray! You'll have to find your wallet, dust it off, locate the key to its lock and prize out some kind of currency for her - I don't think half a crown is legal these days tho! Seriously, bravo!
12 and a half pence? Rounded to 13 pence. One penny for every GCSE (or =) plus one for luck.
