Remember, Remember: Fricassée of Hazel & GuF Balls

Hazel Blears has woken up and smelled the cordite and the fried blue bollocks of Guido Fawkes aka Mr GuF and his wretched co-conspirators. High treason I tell you! She is today due to read the runes. To the Hansard Society no less:

"We are witnessing a dangerous corrosion in our political culture... Perhaps because of the nature of the technology, there is a tendency for political blogs to have a 'Samizdat' style. The most popular blogs are rightwing, ranging from the considered Tory views of Iain Dale, to the vicious nihilism of Guido Fawkes. Perhaps this is simply anti-establishment. Blogs have only existed under a Labour government. Perhaps if there was a Tory government, all the leading blogs would be left-of-centre?
"But mostly, political blogs are written by people with disdain for the political system and politicians, who see their function as unearthing scandals, conspiracies and perceived hypocrisy.
"Until political blogging 'adds value' to our political culture, by allowing new voices, ideas and legitimate protest and challenge, and until the mainstream media reports politics in a calmer, more responsible manner, it will continue to fuel a culture of cynicism and despair."

In his best revelling-in-his-own-drink-drive-bankrupt-criminal-excrement GuF lets rip with a robust riposte, concluding:

What has deservedly brought about disengagement from and cynicism towards politicians is spin, triangulation, focus group derived policies, positioning purely for partisan advantage, vacuous slogans and meaningless promises. Add in personal self enrichment from expense fiddles, petty corruption and barefaced lying to that toxicosis. Hazel has herself personally defended with repulsive sophistry everything from 45 minutes to mass destruction and cash for honours in her time. Who has really fueled corrosive political cynicism? Look in the mirror Hazel.

Oo-er. But who cares? Guido's lost it anyway. He's been mostly copying Benedict Brogan's homework these last few days. He certainly DID NOT give all the Conservative sleaze the correct amount of investigative digging (or even copying of Benny) of a true independent un-nihilist shakespearo. And he is yet to apologise for blaming Paxman for Mail on Sunday subbies' crass photoshoppery.

Guido's readership and disgusting commentariat will no doubt increase by leaps and bounds. But let us hope that any creature of the mainstream media who has been paying attention to the venal, careless, vendetta-driven dolt will instead switch to listening to Hazel, who, when she is not wielding the smoking starting pistol in the Cluedo Library is a great asset to the Labour Party.

But Hazel's still loved up with Iain Dale and vice versa. Bless. And no madam never fear, that is NOT a mouse in Iain's lap.

TIMELINE: Benny the Brogan had the Labour blogging summit story on Saturday 1 November at 11am saying: "I gather there was a big meeting this week" while Iain Dale waited until Tuesday 4 november at 3:34pm and claimed the meeting was "this morning". Guido meanwhile credited Dale rather than his favourite subject of plagiarisation in his GuFfy come lately nonsense at 12:05 this morning. Perhaps there were two meetings Iain? But Recess Monkey (7 am) and LOL (lunchtime) had the video Benny and GuF use on Friday.

FOOTNOTE: Guido's planning a foot-in-mouth-about today: No PMQs live-chat today, am in Westminster all afternoon. Media bids for Guido re Walk / Blears / Lobbyists to 0709 284 0531. Help him out. Get him on the telly and press record.
